I twittered across a great article over at agency spy this morning - Tips for Working with Recruiters. While recruiters aren’t really a great option right out of the gate, they can be of great assistence after your first or second gig.
This article follows the No-Wukas Top Recruiters list from November of this year. Agency spy is a great resource, and is really dialed into the happenings of the advertising industry.
Good luck in 2009.

The number two is significant for two reasons.
- This podcast is now officially two years old. (I know 3 episodes in 2 years, absolutely pathetic.)
- The convergent web is showing symptoms of savvy social citizens.
Prognosis Web 2.0
Last night I typed in Jared Bensons URL to see what he was up to. We’ve known each other for awhile and he has given me some really sound advice, and is a pretty good role model as far as how to launch a successful career in design.
For awhile he had been aggregating information from his various social networks and online communities. All of this info started to become a little cluttered on his site, I was curious how this high profile user experience designer was going to handle his personal space. I’m not sure when this happened, but I think his solution is brilliant.
If you find any more ultra simple Web Presence Roadmaps let me know. I’m starting a list.

There is only so much time that you can put into a job search. And time or timing is a key factor to finding the right fit for each of us. With this in mind I recommend checking out Dave Trott’s method for garnering job leads.
If you go on to read the comments, Dave opens this method up to interpretation via more modern methods. But if you’re still reading this, you probably haven’t read Dave’s stuff yet, which you really should do. Now.
Thanks for pointing this out Jesse.
